ER-QI Clock Tower,with a cantilever

This is a clock tower was built as a memorial museum,in memory of the Ping-Han Railway workers Strike broke out on 7th,Feb,1923.What is the first nationalwide movement orgnaized by the juvenile Communist Party of China.Zhengzhou bacame a Railway conjunction from the Bian-Luo(Kaifeng-Luoyang)Railway's completion and R.Yellow bridge went into service,which connected Hankou(Hankow) and Beijing(Peiping,Peiking).Workers movement is considered as a part of"evolutionary tradition"and the mark.Actually Zhengzhou used not be the center of the Strike.But there is a zone (Erqi zone,in Chinese 二七区)named by"ER-QI"(In Chinese 二·七),Which means 2.7,the Feberary 7th.
At first that was just a wood tower,then rebuilt with concrete to the current appearance in 1980s,and 4 chime clocks add into its body.

The cantilever is run by constructers of MTR system,here will be a subway conjucntion station.
